Wild Bird Watch and Walk

Come and experience the early morning sounds of the bush while strolling along the walking tracks through bush land habitats to find the many birds calling Monarto Safari Park home. Share your experiences with fellow bird watching enthusiasts whilst enjoying a cuppa and light lunch surrounded by the bush before Walking back to the Visitor Centre.

Please Note

A moderate walking ability is required for uneven and rocky ground covering about 5kms. Participants will need to wear sturdy walking shoes, bring sunscreen and water, binoculars if you have them, and wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

Roar and Snore in Spring

Camp out under the beautiful stars at Monarto Safari Park’s Indaba Campsite and enjoy a unique fully catered, overnight experience in your own tent, caravan or swag. After a delicious meal cooked by our Volunteers sit by the fireside to hear the call of the wild with a hot cuppa or glass of wine. In the morning, tour behind the scenes with the lion keepers to see our conservation work in action as keepers move the lion pride from their night quarters.

Return to camp for a hot cooked breakfast and to pack up your camp. You’re then welcome to spend the rest of the day exploring the park by walking trail or ZuLoop bus. Please note this is event is adults only. The Indaba Campsite has dining and toilet facilities but no showers are available. Walking on uneven surfaces is required.
